Sie entstanden gleichzeitig mit dem Trajansforum und besetzten und stützten den Abbau des Quirinalshügels. Hier befand sich ein buntes Gemisch aus Handwerksstätten und öffentlichen Einrichtungen.

MAXXI

Das MAXXI – Museo Nazionale delle Arti del XXI secolo (Nationales Kunstmuseum des XXI. In der Anschauung von Richard Meier bleibt der Ara Pacis mit seinem machtvollen und eindrucksvollen Aussehen eines antiken Denkmals, gibt aber zugleich mit seinem Außenbau die Idee eines modernen Werks.
